Etudes are: Interlocking Passages where the hands alternate in close proximity to one another; #2 is a LH study; #3 octave study.
Description
Three Etudes
Seymour Bernstein
The first etude is called Interlocking Passages where the hands alternate in close proximity to one another. There are only dotted bar lines as guidelines as the music moves freely through many different moods. Etude #2 is an excellent study for the left hand alone. Bernstein has given good fingering to assist the player in maintaining a lovely legato line. Etude #3 is subtitled octaves and is to be played “with a hint of good humor.” As usual with Bernstein, these are well crafted compositions, even worthy for contest use.
