A lush arrangement of this lovely tune, this makes a great filler for a trombone ensemble concert.
This arrangement is from the vocal Mass Ecce Ego Joannes. It is beautiful Renaissance writing which can be played by good student groups.
The piece is scored for 10 trombones divided into two antiphonal choirs. The parts of each choir may be doubled. Although the work contains many dissonant passages and harmonies, it is basically tonal in design.
Transcribed from the original 20th century work for men’s chorus, this piece adapts beautifully for the sonority of the trombone choir.
Written for two four part choirs, this piece will help student trombonists develop a lyrical line, tonal balance through antiphonal techniques.
