Pictures at an Exhibition for Two Pianos, Four Hands

Modeste Mussorgsky

arranged by Reginald Haché

Haché, a fine pianist, had performed the solo piano version of Pictures on numerous occasions and wanted to provide more volume, dramatic effects, and orchestral color so he arranged the entire work for two pianos, four hands. He also wanted to make this work more accessible to a greater number of serious piano students who have yet to develop the skills necessary to master this work in its original form. The numerous performances of this arrangement during three successive seasons by the extraordinary two piano team, The Paratore Brothers really showcased this wonderful arrangement.
