There are four movements: Allegro moderato which has rich piano chords under a richly flowing melody, similar in both string parts. The Andante begins with a simple melody and progresses to a rollicking section in 5/4 time before settling back to the andante.The Moderato features the piano. An exciting vivace completes the work. Core literature for all teachers.
